Our Story

We were living in Washington, DC, we were ready to move back home to southwest Missouri. While planning the relocation in the winter of 2023, I started watching mushroom-growing videos on YouTube. It looked like an enjoyable and rewarding project to take on alongside our gardening plans. That's how we got started with this veteran-owned mushroom farm in Exeter, growing Lion's Mane, Oyster, and Shiitake mushrooms. We primarily serve customers in the local northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri area. What sets us apart is our vision for the future: building a fully integrated farm where nothing goes to waste. We'll produce our own mushroom substrate, then use the spent substrate to enrich the soil for growing vegetables. Vegetable trimmings and leftovers will feed our animals, and in turn, those animals will help provide food for our family—and eventually for others as well. It's a closed-loop system designed to be sustainable and efficient.
